Last Sunday 27th November 2011, the Great Ethiopian Run was held in our Capital, Addis Abeba. Few used the race to voice their grievances. Check this photos taken at the event. © Addis Fortune.

An ever increasing popular event in its 11th year, the annual Great Ethiopian Run sees a mass clad in similar coloured t-shirts take to the streets during the 10km road race along with spectators. It is an event which sees a lot of social and political messages in various forms. Seen in the picture is a participant at this year’s race, whose title sponsor was the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia (CBE), held on November 27, 2011, holding up a placard which says “honour the constitution”. He had laminated A4 papers with different words which he used as a flash card to display various political messages.Addis Fortune Photo Radar December 4, 2011
