De Birhan has learnt from sources that the current Ethiopian Ambassador to Turkey, Dr. Mulatu Teshome Wirtu will be sworn in as the new President of Ethiopia tomorrow.
President Girma Woldegiorgis who served for two terms will hand over his ceremonial power tomorrow.
Mulatu served in various ministerial positions before he was appointed as an Ambassador under the current administration. He is also the central committee member of the Oromo Peoples’ Democratic Organization (OPDO).
However, one of the names that has been coming up for the presidency has been the former mayor of Addis Abeba, Berhane Deresa.
