Ethiopian government’s State Tv, EBC, reported that Ethiopia’s cabinet has approved a draft law to lift the country’s State of Emergency (SoE) that was imposed in February 2018 after months of widespread anti-government protests. The parliament has to approve it for the lifting to be effective.
The Council of Ministers in its today’s regular meeting reviewed the security situation of the country. It noted that law & order has been restored. It has approved a draft law that lifts the State of Emergency. The draft will be sent to Parliament for its consideration #Ethiopia
