Lencho Letta of the Oromo Democratic Fron (ODF), member of the Ethiopian National Movement (ENM), which was formed last year composing Afar People’s Party, Arbegnoch Ginbot 7, Oromo Democratic Front and Sidama People’s Movement, in a live interview on ESAT Television said photos that are circulating showing him sat with a member of the Ethiopian ruling Front in Sudan was not “a negotiation.”

Lenhco said he was in Sudan with his colleague Dr. Dima Negeao in Sudan because they were invited to attend a meeting of the African Union High Panel  co-organised with the IGAD. In the live interview attended by all member parties including Dr. Berhanu Nega, Lenco and Dima stressed that they were not in Sudan to negotiate with the government but as “experts.”

Although Lencho has partnered with Berhanu Nega, and continued to call for the toppling of the government, he safely returned from Sudan attending a meeting. The Ethiopian security often kidnapped critical opposition leaders from neighboring countries. Prof. Merara Gudian is currently in jail for being seen sitting next to Prof. Berhanu Nega in a meeting in Brussels.
