Eritrea’s Ministry of Information said in a statement today that Eritrea has repulsed an attack, the core of the Ethiopian regime’s ruling coalition, TPLF, against it on June 12, 2016 on the Tsorena Central Front.
Eritrea said the Ethiopian side sustained “heavy casualties.”
The press statement suggests that the clash has been abated.

It is nonetheless clear that mounting opposition from popular movements of the Ethiopian people, endemic corruption and associated economic crisis, as well as the desire to stem promising progress in Eritrea are indeed some of the factors prompting the TPLF regime to indulge in reckless military adventures.
Ethiopian Minister for Government Communication Affairs Bureau is set to give a press conference later today in Addis Abeba about the same event.
