Defar deservedly completing a lap of honour after perfectly judging the women’s 5000m to finish in a world leading time of 14:26.90. Way behind the Ethiopian was Kenya’s Jelagat Viola Kibiwot (14:33.48) while Genzebe Dibaba (14:37.68) was third.
