Uganda’s President Yoweri Museveni has toured the Ethiopian military industries in the outskirts of the country’s capital of Addis Ababa, reports said on Monday.President Museveni who concluded a 3-day State Visit to Ethiopia was conducted around the facilities by the Ethiopian Deputy Director of the industries, Brigadier General Tsgabu Fetle who said that they want Uganda and Ethiopia to cooperate in the enhancement of industrial developments.
He revealed that the facility was established 4 years ago adding that the establishment, among other activities, supplies machinery for electricity generation such as transformers and also manufactures numerous machinery for sugar and fertilizers’ processing.
He also reported that tractors, heavy duty trucks and buses are handled by the industrial facilities.
Brigadier General Tsagabu Fetle further told the President president Museveni that the military industrial facilities are currently involved in the expansion of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Hydro-Electric Power Dam so that the facility is upped from a capacity of 5,250 to 6,000 megawatts.
