The African Union (AU) has spent around 3.3 million U.S dollars to finance the programmes of the 50th anniversary of the former Organisation of African Union (OAU)/AU.
De Birhan has learnt that the finance has been approved by the 14th extraordinary Executive Council of the AU last month.
The programme had included meetings, discussions, cultural events and musical concerts.
