December 13, 2016) – Doctors at Menelik II hospital in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, have removed over 1kg of cocaine from the belly of a Nigerian drug trafficker.
The substance was meant to be smuggled to various countries via the Addis Ababa Bole International Airport.
According to the Federal Police Crime Investigation Bureau, the Nigerian man was taken to hospital as he felt abdominal pain upon his arrival at the airport.
But later, doctors found 84 cocaine pellets in his belly which they managed to remove successfully after three hours of surgery.
The individual is currently receiving medical care at the hospital.
