Ayalew Mengesha, who claims that he had served the current Ethiopian regime Intelligence Service (NISS) before deserting in a series of Facebook videos he has been releasing has put the total number of Ethiopians detained by the government’s new Command Post since the State of Emergency was declared at 66000. The Parliament body overseeing the desecration had said earlier this month that the total number of those detained was 11,000.
Ayalew said if the number of those detained in private prisons and cells was added up it could go over 100000 people.
